Yesterday, we bought a house. We’ve been talking about this day for months – what will our first project be? Will we spend the night? What tools do we need? What else do we need to bring over for the first day? What should we plan on getting done the first day?
So, at 1:30 p.m., we walked into the closing office. After much anticipation and 45 minutes later, we had the house! After doing a mini-celebration dance in the parking lot, we headed back to the townhouse to pack up Brett’s truck, load Moxie into my car and begin the trek up to the nest.
Pulling into the driveway of your new house is quite a surreal moment. It is so exciting to know that you have a space that is all your own. Gone are the days of not having enough space, not being able to do something to a house because we’re renting and not being able to make a house truly ‘our home.’
We wanted to share with you some pictures of the before – before we start tearing down walls, scraping ceilings, painting cabinets, putting up new walls, moving doors and everything else that goes along with a remodel. Enjoy!

All our best,
