We’re sharing a collection of simple and easy spring home decor ideas that are sure to add charm to your guest bathroom.
Well, it’s only Tuesday and this week is proving to be an interesting one.
My original goal of posting every day for the month of March was significantly derailed this past weekend when Brett and I headed north for some ice fishing fun.
But, now that my week has freed up due to the canceling of a few networking events and in-person meetings turned virtual, I think I can get back on schedule and finish off the month strong!
And, because we’ve got all this extra time at home due to social distancing, our house is really going to get a good, spring makeover. Also, we’re still not sure about the status of our oven cabinet and if it’ll be affected by the closures, so who knows when we’ll be able to restart on the kitchen progress.
Anyways, back to spring decor – today, I’m sharing how we’ve updated the guest bathroom with a few simple and easy spring touches.
My first step when I’m decorating an entire room, especially one that has minimal decor like the guest bathroom, is to take everything out.
It’s all about starting with a fresh canvas, right!?
The first to-do was to swap in some new towels – the taupe towels really work with the existing shower curtain.
Then, I went downstairs to my faux flower collection and decided on two spring stems for the vanity and plopped them in a nice, tall vase.
Because it’s spring and that means puddles, mud and dirt, I am keeping the bath mats off the floor – we already don’t do well with white so sometimes you have to take every precaution necessary 🙂
For the industrial shelves above the toilet, I wanted to pare down the decor quite a bit.
Again, I visited the faux flower buckets and snagged a few pink stems, along with some dried eucalyptus. I added a pop of pink from an old planter and finished it off with some neutral items. You can never go wrong with a distressed-style candle stick or a small lantern.
I’m craving simplification this season and our home decor is no exception!
Happy decorating, friends!
All our best,
