Simple & Rustic Holiday Porch Decor

rustic and simple holiday porch tour

Today’s porch decor is all about the simple and understated holiday touches.

I repurposed this summer’s galvanized buckets that once housed beautiful, colorful flowers with Christmas trees, lights and ornaments.

The rocking chairs are adorned with cozy flannel throw pillows and a fleece plaid blanket.

Full disclosure: we live in Minnesota and the liklihood if us actually sit out on the porch, wrapping up in a blanket is slim-to-none. But it sure looks good, right? 😉

For the door, I grabbed a plain, green wreath and added a burlap ribbon bow and two jingle bells for a nice rustic touch.

My favorite rustic piece is this DIY – it’s supposed to be a lighted tree; can you see it?

My mom and I saw something similar at an antique shop several weeks ago and since we had a few pieces of barnwood lying around, I decided to give it a shot.

With all the chaos of the holdiay season, it’s nice to have something simple to welcome us (and guests!) home.

Your front porch is perfection. You may tempt someone to sit outside on the rockers inspite of the cold because it all looks so appealing.

Thank you, Leanna! We’ll see if it looks as appealing when it’s -20 outside 😉 😉

Rustic style for home decoration is my favourite. I like simple but meaningful things, things that are related to some nice memories.
