It feels SO good to be back!

Long story short, some hackers were flooding the server that this blog calls home, which shut down the entire server and all the websites that were on it. Eleven days, countless phone calls, numerous online chats and a few expletives later, the blog is FINALLY back up and running. Thank goodness!

We’ve got a quick and easy DIY project for you today. If you have $5 and access to the dollar store, this one is for you!

Since my birthday falls in July, summer will always have a special place in my heart. But there is nothing like fall. The leaves change, we can start snuggling up in sweaters, apple orchards are always bustling with people and best of all, the mornings and evening are crisp, which means Brett and I won’t be sweating our butts off in the house.

And then there are the fall decorations. Burlap and straw and plaid blankets and pumpkins and all things natural and rustic. It is amazing. And sometimes a little expensive.

That’s where this fun project comes in – everything was purchased at the dollar store and only cost about $5 per vase arrangement. Who doesn’t love a good bargain like that?

How to Make a Dollar Store Fall Flower Arrangement

Cut the burlap long enough so it wraps around the entire vase, with a little bit of overlap.

Then measure the twine and cut it so it’s long enough to go around the vase, with enough extra to make a bow.

Wrap the burlap around the vase.

Tie the twine around the vase, on top of the burlap and tie a bow. Or a knot. Whatever strikes your fancy.

Place flowers inside the vase in a fun and creative way, creating a beautiful floral arrangement that everyone will mistake for the real deal.

All our best,

These look so cute Kelly! I love the dollar store, you can ALWAYS find great deals there. I actually got the same burlap the other day and put it on a chalk painted mason jar! Looks super cut and it’s so cheap!!

Oh I am sure it looks awesome! Making a few painted mason jars is on my to-do list. I didn’t think about adding burlap, but that’s such a great idea!
      Best,
