There is something about a burning candle that I just love.
Imagine this; you’re curled up on the couch with a cozy blanket, you’ve got a nice glass of wine, a good book and a burning candle on the table. Doesn’t that just scream coziness and relaxation?

I may have a candle problem, but I come by it honestly – passed down from my mother.
Growing up, whenever she would light them around the house, my dad would not-so-subtly make comments about how she was going to burn the house down and, “Why on earth do you have so many damn candles?”
She would just smile and laugh, knowing he was only teasing.
It wasn’t until the power went out during a storm that we realized maybe Dad actually had a point.
She went to the basement and emerged with a tub full of candles. It didn’t even look like our power was out because we had so many candles lit.
“Oh sorry neighbors, no, we don’t have power. It’s just my mother’s obsession with candles that makes our house glow.”
And it’s not just me who now hoards candles and checks the clearance bins at the stores.
My sister has also inherited this lovely trait and her husband says the exact same things to her that my dad said to my mom.
I am sure it’s only a matter of time before I hear it from Brett too.
Until then, I’ll be snuggled up in my blanket on the couch, with a good book and a glass of wine, while my candles slowly burn and our house glows.
All our best,
Omg, Kelly this post made me smile so much. I myself have an issue with candles but luckily the hubs hasn’t said anything yet. I am super picky with the smell for some of them make me nauseous. But I love the Scentsational candles. They are just amazing!!
I am so glad I’m not the only one with a candle problem 🙂 I don’t think I’ve tried scentsational candles yet, so thank you for the reccommendation! I’ll have to check it out.
Best,
Kelly
