Ever since The Notebook, I’ve had this dream about having a house with a wrap around porch.

Cheesy?ย Absolutely.

But there is something so damn charming about a gigantic porch that just draws you in.

It’s romantic and homey and welcoming.

So naturally when we first moved in, adding a wrap around porch was high on the to do list.

And then we started knocking down walls and redoing bathrooms and adding brick to the floor…

…and before we knew it, our first year had come and gone and we were nowhere near adding the wrap around porch.

And then I realized that we can having the country charm and homey feeling without the gigantic space.

All you need are some galvanized buckets, a few good rocking chairs and a great welcome mat to make it feel like home.

… and the loving pups to welcome you at the door whenever you stop by for a visit.

You’re right, you don’t need a large porch, because you’ve most certainly accomplished what you set out to do here! It’s so inviting and beautiful!

You may not have the railings, but you’ve certainly got the feel and look of a porch! I love the rockers and all of the accents – those puppies are adorable!
