Today we’re sharing an entryway summer home tour as part of a blog hop with lots of other talented ladies!
It’s official. Summer is HERE.
We’re t-minus two months out from the wedding, are knee deep in laundry room renovations, just finished up our guest bathroom and are patiently waiting for the garage permit to come through.
Needless to say, things are slightly chaotic around here.
So when it comes to our summer decor, we’re scaling back.
I spent the last weekend removing lots of things from the tables and the bins and baskets and cabinets. Â I want simple decor. Something that shows off the house and all the hard work we’ve done.
The entryway is no exception.
It’s the first space in the house that we completely finished.
From the brick flooring to the front window to the barn wood wall, everything has been torn out, replaced or newly added.
For the entryway table, I picked up some fresh flowers from Trader Joe’s, added a few trinkets, a newly made industrial cake stand [DIY coming soon!] and the garland we used on our tablescape. See, simple?
The small farmhouse table also got some fresh flowers and a few small decor pieces, but nothing over powering or large scaled.
Our built ins are ever-changing, but I think I finally figured out a good system for us. I used a metal basket that used to house our mittens and hats for all of the dog things like leashes and plastic baggies and foam shampoo. The top shelf has more greenery, a galvanized lantern and some bright teal cups to bring out the pops of color in the pillows.
