With much credit to Chip and Joanna Gaines, the farmhouse style has taken the home decor world by storm. Everywhere I turn, I seem to find an endless array of metal baskets, distressed furniture, milk jars, natural colors and white dishes in pictures on Instagram and Pinterest.
Lucky for us, second-hand items are ‘in’ style, which fits perfectly within our budget. But what about buying something new? Something that looks old, but hasn’t had a toddler’s sticky fingers on it or lived in a smoker’s house or been recovered seventeen times?
