Can you believe June is almost over? And the Fourth of July is next Monday?! In Minnesota, after The Fourth, summer is basically over. The school supplies start to hit the shelves, fall clothes pop onto the clothing racks and the days become shorter. I don’t know about you, but I feel like I blinked and June just passed before me. I think back on the last 28 days and couldn’t really tell you what I did. Then, I take a peek back on the blog posts and realize, “Oh, we were actually really busy.”
So, in case you missed any of the happenings here at North Country Nest this past month, here’s a look back at what kept us busy.
We had did even more demo. I came home late one night and found that Brett removed the office and guest bathroom pocket doors. He also ripped out the shower in the guest bathroom.
We recommended a few more books to add to your summer reading list. Because you can never have too many books on the ‘must read’ list.
We shared why you should never, ever pass up a tray at the thrift store and also included a few decorating tips.
We helped you save money when looking for a wedding venue. Because wedding venues are expensive and we like a good hack.
We added some outdoor pillows to the patio rocking chairs. Who doesn’t love pillows?
We let you in on a little secret and shared some of our favorite second hand/thrift stores in Minnesota. Let’s keep it just between us.
We found a hutch and gave it a makeover. Here’s part one. Part two is coming in the next week or so. Side note, the hutch looks ah-maze-ing.
We painted and distressed the front entryway bench that used to be my childhood toy chest. It was time for an update.
We were lucky enough to participate in a summer blog hop with eight other creative bloggers. The other ideas are amazing – check them out!
May your July be as relaxing as it is creative. Filled with lots of sunshine and summer fun. Remember to stop and soak it all in, because if it’s anything like June, August will be here before you know it.
All our best,
When is the date for wedding? Hannah says a year from September, we want to mark the calendar so we can attend
