Industrial Office Design Plans & Mood Board

The Office

11 Apr

Sharing our industrial office design plans and mood board decor options.

We are finally at a place where it’s time to get serious about the industrial office design and decor plans.

Here’s where we are at today; Brett just finished putting the first coat of mud on the walls:

Awesome, right?!

The Walls

We are thinking about a two-tone wall with shiplap on the bottom and a color on the top. Not sold on the idea? Check out some of these amazing inspiration images:

For the wall color, we’re thinking of going bold. I am litttttle nervous since there aren’t any windows in the room but worst case scenario is we don’t like the color and have to paint over it. Definitely not the end of the world!

We haven’t decided if the shiplap will be white or a bold color but here are the two we like as of today:

Desk & Shelves

When you walk in, the wall to the right will house Brett’s next furniture build. We’re thinking floating desk with two floating shelves, similar to the styles below.

Storage

To the left will be the filing cabinet (I am officially on the hunt for a perfectly rusty and vintage three drawer cabinet) and against the front wall will be a cart for the printer. We could house it on the desk but I’d rather have as much space on there as possible, plus it will add some extra storage.

Flooring

For the flooring, we’re going for the plywood planks again! We love it SO much in the guest bedroom and since it’s such an inexpensive option we thought that would be our best bet.

Last, but not least is the fun part – all the industrial decor!

So, friends. There ya have it. Our industrial office design plans thus far. And of course, they’ll probably change umteen-million times.

And this wouldn’t be a North Country Nest remodel if we didn’t tell you our deadline. As of today, we’re shooting for the end of June. Here’s to actually finishing this one on time 🙂

All our best,
