Renovation changes.
If you’re subscribed to our newsletter, you’ve already heard a bit about the changes on the main level’s floor plan. Nothing is set in stone yet and we’ve gone back and forth on what we’re going to do. Who am I kidding? We weren’t expecting these changes, but that’s what happens when you’re renovating, I guess. Things change, plans change and you just have to roll with it.
Since I have the patience of a three year old, I couldn’t wait any longer without giving some previews 🙂
We’re adding a half-wall to the entryway. It started as a conversation about where to put the fireplace, was put on pause when I left for Michigan and I came home to this surprise. We’ve had it in place for nearly two weeks now, testing out how it feels and if we want to make any changes before it’s permanent.
The stairs may go here. This is the fourth proposed location of the stairs in the past three weeks but the one spot that we’re most excited about. Thankfully, we still have awhile before we actually want to cut them in, so the pondering and discussion will continue.
Friday inspiration.

Design*Sponge is one of my favorite blogs and this post makes me love her even more.
Friday projects.
The kitchen/dining room renovation is literally YEARS away, but that hasn’t stopped me from planning. Like this bench from Shanty 2 Chic would look wonderful in the new dining room.
Friday home.
I want to sit in this sunroom all day with a great book and a tall glass of…lemonade. (You thought I was going to say wine, didn’t you?! ;))
YoungHouseLove is the blog that got me into blogging and now they’re inspiring me to want to tackle a vacation home. I mean, look at these ah-mazing pine floors in their new beach house. P.s. if you have some time, check out all their remodels and their hilarious podcast.
This fall tablescape by On Sutton Place has me giving all the heart eyes and wanting to do something similar in our own home.
Friday finds.
I know it’s just the end of October, but dare I say Christmas has been on my mind? More specifically, Christmas decor. I’m hoping to do a more formal ’roundup’ of some favorite decor finds, but I thought I’d gather up 50 items under $50 – all handmade with extra love 🙂
Friday pups.
All our best,
