31 Days of Mindfulness Challenge

Mindfulness

19 Dec

As we say hello to 2019 in a few short days, I am finding myself thinking about what I want this next year to look like. I’m not a huge fan of the resolution idea and past experience shows it doesn’t really stick for me either. 🙂

This year, I’m switching things up and in an effort to start 2019 out on the right foot, am challenging myself (and any of you that would like to join in!) to a ‘31 Days of Mindfulness Challenge’ during the month of January.

If you’ve been around here for a little while, you know we started talking about mindfulness this past summer and it’s something I’ve been practicing ever since.

While the fast-paced world we operate in is the norm, it seems to be magnified during the holidays and as we plan for the New Year. Continuous hustle is praised, comparison is a constant, busy is a badge of honor and complaining about anything and everything is the standard.

Enter the idea of The Mindfulness Challenge.

One goal on my list for this next year is to continue practicing this ideas of mindfulness. For me, that means cutting down on the overwhelm, being aware instead of reactive, focusing on the present moment and practicing gratitude.

And since I’ve still got a little competitive streak in me, having a challenge, even if it’s only against myself, will be a great way to bring mindfulness to the forefront. And, if I start the year out focusing on improving each area, the hope is, some of the habits I’ll pick up in January will carry throughout the entire year.

So, what’s the challenge all about?!

Every day during the month of January, I’ll be sharing one small to-do; things like putting down your phone when you’re talking to a loved one, taking ten minutes out of your day for play time, going for a walk instead of sitting in front of the TV. At the end of the month, we’ll have complete 31 small acts of mindfulness that will [hopefully] be practiced for the rest of the year.

Want to join in?!

I’ve created a free Facebook group for all of us and you can join by CLICKING HERE. I’ll also be going Live every week to chat about the challenge and answer any questions you may have.

Cheers to 2019!

All our best,
