Farmhouse Winter Tablescape

Let me begin by saying that I had the utmost intention of pulling together a tablescape made up of things we already had on hand.

And then Brett went out of town for work and I just so happened to find myself strolling through the aisles of one of my favorite stores.

It all started with the placemats. I was minding my own business walking through Hobby Lobby and saw they were part of the 50% off sale. Knowing I had this post coming up, I threw them in the cart, needing to ponder the purchase for a bit.

And then I looked up and saw the beautiful bronze and rust-colored chargers. They’re even more lovely in person and were only $3.99, plus the additional 50% off.

In the cart they went.

The napkins were strategically placed next to the placemats (nice one, Hobby Lobby) and I wracked my brain for any other napkins I already had on hand.

They were quickly thrown into the cart as well.

Stepping up their game even more, Hobby Lobby had the matching napkin rings a little farther down the shelf.

Never in my life have I owned a napkin ring. To be honest, I didn’t even know what they were prior to starting this blog.

They were also in the 50% umbrella and I decided the table decor would not be the same without them.

Now, before you fall off your chair and think we’ve gone all mainstream in opting for new purchases instead of our usual thrifted/repurposed options, let me tell you that the rest of this table is not new.

The candlesticks were found while out thrifting last year and were chalk painted and distressed for a charming farmhouse look.

And the greenery is a mixture of stems from the hot cocoa bar boquet we showed off last week.

It’s all about balance, right? And who can resist a good sale?

The combination of those placements and chargers is gorgeous. And while I love thrifting and repurposing items as well. It does feel good to buy some new items for some great deals! I would have gotten them too! LOL!

Placemats are a weakness. But these will be great to use all year and the tablescape looks great.

I have to say… I’ve never been in a Hobby Lobby! There isn’t one in my area, but there is by my sister. Next time I’m visiting her, I’ll have to check it out. Your table looks beautiful
